Market Tote Bag Making W/Ellie Lum

If there’s one bag you’ll want to use, it’s this modern & versatile take on the classic market tote. This class is designed to make sewing a bag from start-to-finish fun & easy! You will walk out with a tote bag that you made from-start-to-finish. Ellie Lum, a custom bag maker of 15+ years will guide you through the making process step-by-step as you take your basic sewing knowledge and put it to use learning how to create your own market tote bag. Need an everyday bag with the capacity to carry your essentials plus more around town? Or a rugged tote built to withstand being loaded down with a laptop & school books? Or a fancy tote that compliments a date outfit, but has the capacity to carry all your layers on these chilly Fall evenings? Whatever you need, to carry, this tote is a versatile and essential accessory for any lifestyle. We provide all materials and sewing machines -- just bring yourself! Your tote will be a combination of canvas, denim, and/or cotton fabrics as well as adding nice leather handles to the straps.

All materials provided. Feel free to bring any fabric you'd like to use for the bag. Students will enjoy drinks and snack for the duration of the class as well as 10% off in store.

This is an advanced beginner class. Students must know how to use a sewing machine comfortably before attending this class.
