Conté à Paris has been around since 1795 when it was founded by Nicholas-Jacques Conté. Composed of natural pigments, kaolin clay, and graphite the Conté crayons are much firmer and waxier than a regular pastel so they make very little dust and are easier to control. The unique rectangular shape of the crayons lets the artist manipulate them in a variety of ways to take full advantage of their versatility. Use them for thick, grainy paper or darker, toned paper.

The Conté à Paris crayons come in a set of 12 assorted crayons.
